Meet my new comic character 'OMeow' (O喵)!

OMeow was borne on 24 June 09. I wanted to start my own comic since few years back, too bad I do not know how to draw with computer software.


Friends who long know me will definately not surprise to see me drawing again. I love to draw cartoon characters, but haven't done that for more than 16 years.

咖哩面 *Curry Noodle

前两天小华突然说想要吃咖哩面。怀念咖哩面/米粉很久了。。。我比较喜欢吃咖哩米粉,然后一定要米粉少,芽菜多!卖咖哩的老板每天看到我都笑哈哈,因为只喜欢吃豆芽咖哩的傻婆又来‘帮乘’了。。。。




食材:
A. 咖哩汤
鸡..... 1/2 只(切块)
菜豆..... 1 小碗(切节)
马铃薯..... 2 粒(切大块)
蒜米..... 1 汤匙
葱泥..... 2 汤匙
茅..... 2 支(打爆)
椰浆..... 1 茶杯
Babas咖哩粉..... 2 大汤匙
水..... 适量
食油..... 适量
盐..... 适量

B. 预备材料
芽菜..... 1 小碗(去尾,洗净后烫开)

面/米粉..... 2-3 人份(烫开)

做法:
1. Babas咖哩粉加水,调匀,备用。
2. 热锅后加入大概3-4汤匙的油,先炒香蒜米和葱泥。
3. 加入鸡块炒,然后把锅盖盖上来一会儿。只要看到鸡块的外皮转换成另一个颜色后就可以再开盖了。
4. 把(1)加入锅内,再加适量的水。
5. 加入马铃薯、菜豆和茅。用慢火煮至马铃薯软化。
6. 加入盐和椰浆,再多煮5分钟即可。
7. 把(6)淋上(B) 料即可。

Ingredients:
A. Curry
1/2 chicken (chopped into pieces)
1 bowl of cut long bean
2 potato (cut into bite size pieces)
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
2 tbsp finely chopped shallot
2 smashed lemon grass
1 tea cup of coconut milk
2 tbsp Babas curry powder
water
cooking oil
salt

B. Other Ingredients
1 small bowl of bean sprout (remove the root and immerse in hot water for a minute or two)
Noodle for 2-3 persons (also immerse in hot water for a few minutes before used)

Directions:
1. Add some water to Babas curry powder, stir until both are evenly mixed.
2. Heat the pan with 3-4 tbsp of cooking oil, fry garlic and shallot until colored.
3. Add chicken to cook until it changes color.
4. Add (1) into the pan, add more water.
5. Add potato, long bean and lemon grass and cook with slow heat until potato is soften.
6. Add salt and coconut milk, cook for another 5 minutes will do.
7. Pour curry onto (B) before served.


红萝卜煎蛋 *Fried Eggs With Carrot

小时候不爱吃蔬菜,妈咪为了让我们多吃有营养的红萝卜,不得不出此策:把萝卜切丝/刨丝,然后再和鸡蛋一起煎。今天的我,还是很爱这样简单的味道。




食材
鸡蛋..... 3 粒
红萝卜..... 1 条
蒜头..... 1 颗(打爆就好)
酱油..... 适量
胡椒粉..... 适量
食油..... 适量

做法:
1. 红萝卜切丝/刨丝。
2. 鸡蛋加胡椒粉和酱油,打散、打匀。
3. 热锅后加油,热油后先炒开蒜头,再把红萝卜丝加入一起炒。
4. 把蒜头丢弃,把炒过的红萝卜丝捞起,加入(2)。
5. 如果是使用不粘锅,可以直接把(4)放到锅内煎熟即可。如果不是使用不粘锅,可以先在锅里加入少许食油,等食油在锅里热后,才把(4) 放到锅里煎。

Ingredients:
3 chicken eggs
1 carrot (shredded)
1 clove smashed garlic
soya sauce
pepper
cooking oil

Directions:
1. Add pepper and soya sauce into eggs, whisk until everything is evenly mixed.
2. Heat the wok with cooking oil, fried garlic until it turns golden in color, then add shredded carrot to stir until cook.
3. Remove garlic. Remove carrot from wok and mix it with (1).
4. Continue heating up the wok, pour (3) into the wok and fry until the egg is cooked.

咖啡布丁甜点 *Coffee Flan

本来是应该要用炼奶的,但我怕做出来后会太甜,自己换了鲜奶加适量的白糖;另外我也没加vanila 香精。虽然味道和口感都很好,但买点失败了。我很喜欢这一道甜品,因为是咖啡味的。下一次会再接再厉的了!我为自己加油!




食材:
A.焦糖
糖..... 150g
水..... 60ml

B. 咖啡布丁
炼奶..... 400ml
鲜奶..... 200ml
Cream.... 225ml
桂皮..... 1 支
即溶咖啡..... 2 茶匙
水..... 1 茶匙
鸡蛋..... 5 粒
vanila香精..... 1 茶匙
aluminum 杯
做法:
A. 焦糖
1. 把糖加入热锅中,再加水煮至白糖完全溶解,颜色变成褐色为此。
2. 然后在每一个aluminum杯里倒入大概一汤匙的焦糖。
B. 咖啡布丁:
1. 先把炉给热了,热度维持在2.5号或160摄氏。
2. 用一汤匙的水把即溶咖啡溶解掉。
3. 热锅后,把全部的B材料加入锅内,把(2)也一起加入,然后再用小火慢慢煮至水滚。
4. 另一方面把蛋打散。
5. 把(3)和(4)混合在一起,继续打散。
6. 过后一定要把(5)滤过,再把它倒入aluminum杯里。不要忘了在aluminum杯上留大概1公分的空间。
7. 把所有的aluminum 杯放在烤炉盘里,再把热水倒入烤炉盘内。把整个烤炉盘放入烤炉里烤大概15-20分钟。再取出之前可以晃一晃aluminum杯子。要是布丁没晃,这代表布丁已经熟了。
8. 从烤炉盘里移开aluminum 杯子。
9. 冷却后再把布定放入雪柜里。
10. 享用之前,用一把小刀在aluminum的周围切开,然后把aluminum 杯子反过来,轻轻地在aluminum杯子的底部向下按,把咖啡布丁按出来,然后盛在盘子上。

Ingredients:
A.Caremel:
150g sugar
60ml water

B.Flan:
400ml condensed milk
200ml fresh milk
225ml cream
1 stick cinnamon
2 tbsp instant coffee
1 tbsp water
5 chicken eggs
1 teasp vanila essence
aluminium cup

Directions:
A. Caremel:
1. Place sugar in a hot pan, add water and keep on stiring until it turns golden brown.
2. Pour about 1 tbsp of caremel into aluminium cup to cover the bottom.

B.Flan:
1. Pre-heat oven to mark point 2.5/ 160 degree celsius.
2. Dissolve instant coffee with water.
3. Heat a pan and add all ingredients for flan to cook in medium low heat, this include the dissolved coffee.
4. Cook until boiling and off the gas.
5. Whisk the eggs.
6. Add (4) into (5), keep on whisking until everthing is evenly mixed.
7. Strain (6). After that, pour it into aluminium cup and make sure leave about 1 cm unfill.
8. Place all the aluminium cups on a baking tray that is full with hot water. Bring the tray to oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until set. Don't forget to shake the aluminium cups gentlely to make sure they are set before moving them out from the oven.
9. Remove aluminium cups from the tray and allow them to cool for a few minutes.
10. Store flan into the fridge for a few hours to chill.
11. Before serving, remove the aluminium cup from flan. Use a sharp knife to cut the edge and make flan loosen from the cup. Place cup up-side down on a serving plate, gentlely press the bottom of aluminium cup and the flan will automatically drop.

圣岛冒险记 – 到Akrotiri灯塔看日落 *Exploring Santorini – Sunset at Akrotiri Lighthouse (4 June 09)

Akrotiri 的灯塔位于圣岛南部的最为端。这座灯塔历史拥久,由法国人建立于1892年,被记载为世界上的历史灯塔。在第二世界大战的时候这座灯塔的灯第一次熄灭,直到1945年灯塔才再次发出亮灯,为海上的船指引路。如今它会在每10秒发出一次白灯。

由于灯塔位于圣岛的最为端,也位于悬崖边,前面是一片无阻的爱情海。能在悬崖边找个位子坐下来等日落时最好不过的了。

Akrotiri Light House is placed at the most south of the entire island, indeed it was the end point of Santorini. It is one of the world’s oldest lighthouses. It was built by French in 1892, the light stayed dead during World War II. The lighthouse was in used again in 1945. Today it flashes a white light in every 10 seconds. There is nothing blocking the sea view, thus this is one of the best places to view sunset in Akrotiri.

太阳越靠近地平线的时候,光线会越来越集中,发出的光芒也因而没那么刺眼。



看着美丽的咸鸭蛋掉进海里,这种享受一生人能有几次?


当天晚上因为无所事事,我们驾车到Fira 小镇去见识Fira的夜生活。半路还载了一对背包的老人。

We drove to Fira on the same night. On the way we picked up a pair of backpackers.



这里的精品店卖的东西价钱都很公道,比Oia的便宜。
You may find souvenirs are cheaper in Fira than in Oia.




因为我喜欢每到一个地方一定要买一个冰厨吸铁的习惯,又或者当地有什么闻名的古迹的话我也会把它的模型买下,我在Fira也买下了一些小礼物给自己。现在冰厨上已经贴着21个从不同地方来的冰厨吸铁了,还在努力收集中。。。。

好久没看到这个卡通了。很可爱的快餐馆。
Obelix is a Greek fast food restaurant, selling kebabs, pita and other Greek food.






圣岛也有卖很多首饰。首饰上的石头多数都是火山溶浆过后形成的宝石。

喜欢这家服装店的装潢。









这就是我们当晚的晚餐+宵夜。因为午饭4 点才吃,所以晚上11点了我们才开始找吃的。在某某小店面前看到挤满了人,跑过去一看原来这里卖烧烤。买了2串猪肉、3串鸡肉还有一条满肚子都是乳酪的香肠。哇!赞!这家的souvlaki 最赞!说实在的,串烧肉和其他家的餐厅比较记来是普普通通,但这家用的酱料则是一流的!酸酸的、又香香的,超好吃!因为口味有一点酸,所以即使吃很多肉也不会觉得腻,这就是它厉害的地方。想不到那么好吃的东西竟然卖得那么便宜!猪肉一串只卖€1.50, 鸡肉€2.00, 香肠€1.00一个。基本上一串鸡肉和一串猪肉已经把我的胃撑开、饱的受不了了!太好吃了!我们在这家买了3次呢!
We had this for dinner/supper. This is the best souvlaki we had in Santorini, the only one that grilled souvlaki with charcoal! We love the sauce; it was so special, with very nice aroma and tastes a bit sour! Pork souvlaki was selling at €1.50 each, chicken was €2.00 each and sausages stuffed with cheese were selling at €1 each. I only need a pork souvlaki and a chicken souvlaki to stuff my stomach full! It is served with free grill garlic bread. Had this charcoal grilled souvlaki 3 times! It was too delicious!

一定要人好是这家哦!这有这家的souvlaki是碳烧的,其他家的都是电烧的,所以味道方面会差很多。
